Kramp Poland, a supplier of agricultural, forestry, and gardening products, has completed the implementation of LEAFIO Shelf Efficiency to streamline planogram creation and execution across its retail stores.
The retailer operates a network of over 160 PbK partner stores, each carrying a unique assortment of between 8,000 and 21,000 SKUs. Across the network, there are up to 90,000 active SKUs. As this continued to grow, maintaining planograms through a fully manual process became increasingly difficult to scale.
Before the implementation, every new planogram was created manually. The merchandising team built a physical shelf at the head office, arranged products, photographed the finished layout, printed the planogram, and then distributed it to stores. This process created several operational challenges: creating and updating planograms required significant manual effort, new products could only be added once physical samples became available, and rolling out merchandising changes across stores was time-consuming.
With LEAFIO Shelf Efficiency, Kramp has transitioned to a centralised digital workflow where planograms can be created, updated, and shared with stores much more efficiently. Store employees access planograms through a mobile application, enabling more consistent execution while reducing manual work.
The Shelf Efficiency deployment was carried out in three stages across the network, under Kramp Groep's Global PMO (Netherlands), as part of a group wide replenishment initiative. It covers 40 stores in the contracted LEAFIO scope, spanning Kramp owned locations, affiliated Grene sp. z o.o., and partner/franchise formats.
"Shelf Efficiency gives our retail network in Poland a single, consistent way to build and roll-out planograms across every store format we operate, from our own locations to Grene and our partner stores," says Beata Jarosz, Head of Retail Poland, Kramp Sp. z o.o.
"Our stores now receive finished planograms directly through the LEAFIO mobile app instead of a printed layout built by hand at the head office. That alone has changed how quickly we can execute a merchandising update," adds Mirosław Gruszczyński, Transformation Manager, Kramp Sp. z o.o.
In addition to Shelf Efficiency, Kramp has selected Inventory Optimisation, which is currently being implemented as the next phase of the company's optimisation programme. Once both modules are running together, planogram data from Shelf Efficiency can inform Inventory Optimisation's replenishment forecasts at the same store and SKU level, helping keep what is planned on the shelf aligned with what is ordered to stock it.
"Kramp's Shelf Efficiency roll-out shows how a group wide replenishment initiative can standardise merchandising across owned, affiliated, and partner store formats at once," says Jane Medwin, Co-founder and CRO, LEAFIO AI.
2026 RTIH Innovation Awards
Physical stores will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards are now open for entries and celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November.
Check out our 2025 winners here.
Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”
“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”
He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”
Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
